Have you tried resetting the service processor from ASMI?

Subject: 8203-E4A with corrupted service processor

Hello all, I'm new to the list and just a hobbyist but managed to kill
one of my 8203-E4A boxes. I had VIOS running with some virtual
machines and wanted to run Linux on bare metal. Well VIOS had
partitioned off 2Gb of memory and that was all that Linux saw. So the
IBM documentation said to reset the factory configuration. Well that
is more like a send out a service rep button.

That step never seemed to complete so after a power cycle it comes up
with a C1001029 error on the display. After a few minutes it goes to
gibberish with the only legible text being EADFCF1. Using a paperclip
on the reset button doesn't help and neither does trying to update the
firmware by USB.

To me it looks like the 8203-E4A does not have a replaceable service
processor. Is this thing permanently bricked or can it be reprogrammed
by JTAG or something similar? Any input is appreciated.

Adam
