If I have a command parameter type of *X - how should I define that in
the cl processing program.

At the moment it is *CHAR 100 - but I'm getting pointer errors when I
try and access that parameter in the cl program.

Any thoughts...

This is not my software - I do have all the source however.

That is going to be tough -- because it can be either numeric or
character depending upon what is passed.

*X
(For IBM-supplied commands) The parameter value is a
character string, variable name, or numeric value.
The value is passed as a numeric value if it contains
only digits, a + or - sign, or a decimal point;
otherwise, it is passed as a character string.

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
