IBM has built internal tooling to scan text files for what they are looking
for. PDF does not play nice since it adds all the headers and formatting
information.

Not at this time. One could submit a RFE.
I like not getting a prompt every time asking me if I want PDF, Text, etc.
Therefore I wouldn't want the default download changed. Perhaps a
"download with prompt" option added. The prompt could also ask you for your
download directory.
I wonder what tool IBM uses which prefers text over pdf. I have the same
issue.
All these nice tools sure beat the snot out of CPYSPLF and then downloading
that though. Talk about stone knives and bearskins.

This download thing works pretty well. I've used it a hundred times!
Today when I sent a spooled file of a communications trace I was asked
by IBM to please re-upload the thing as a text file not a PDF. It was
then I realized that it always downloads as PDF.
So I poked around and sure enough there is an option to download as PDF
if available and the box is checked. Uncheck and shazaam, text. Great!
But, Is there a way to pick during the download rather than having to go
into options each time to switch back and forth??
