That's why a CL command wrapper is preferable because the actual parms can be numeric or character of varying sizes and the command masks all that for you.

The beauty of wrapper any CL or RPG call in a CL command.

Numeric parms are 15.5 if you aren't using a command... Can't you define a numeric parm as other than 15.5 in a command?
