I ditched Windows in 1997 for RedHat 5.0. Still using Linux on my server and now Mac as my desktop (since 2008). My employer on the other hand still uses Windows but I'm hopeful that Windows 10 may finally be the reason I can get a Mac at work, keep your fingers crossed.

The funny thing about windows-haters is they all use Windows and haven't switched 😊

I think we should clarify for some readers: Your "personal computer"
happens to be Linux, so you run jEdit on your local Linux. And while you feel Linux is a better personal computing environment than Mac or Windows, the more important point I think you are trying to make is that user-facing software (such as browsers, editors, etc.) is better left for the local platform that's right in front of the user. I believe this is what you meant in your earlier post when you said "it's cheaper to integrate Linux and IBM i". That is, integrate your local workstation and IBM i.

As much as Windows-haters hate Windows, it would strain credibility to argue that it's somehow *worse* to run jEdit on Windows than it is to run jEdit on PASE via an X Window session.
