Just a simple tech tip.

When saving to a save file, and you want to avoid the message that the
file already contains data, modify your SAVOBJ and add the
CLEAR(*REPLACE)
parameter.

I just modified SCRIPT1 & SCRIPT4 from our HA vendor and notified them
suggesting that they make the modification themselves to help other
customers.

Obviously different people may feel differently on any given
subject -- and they are certainly allowed their opinion. But, for me, I
wouldn't want a parameter default that causes summary deletion of data or
objects without notice. If I specify such an option and it ends up
deleting something I don't want then shame on me and I can only blame
myself. But, if something ends up being deleted that I *don't* want
because of a supplied default from vendor (including IBM) software then
shame on them and I will complain bitterly about it.

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
