That's true, and you'll note that drivers are shown only for those printers
IBM has actually tested.

One of my clients has hundreds of printers scattered around the country and
Canada. Because of the success I've had with the tools from Xerox, I am
gradually getting the Field IT folks to come around and place the various
Xerox Work Centre models in these offices when it's time to replace an old
printer. We've even figured out how to point the drivers to the high
capacity paper trays with WSCST's It takes maybe 5 minutes to get the users
up and running.

My understanding of "listed" printers is that there are really only a
couple of drivers on the IBM I for emulated printers.

The "list" printers is impressive but there is a table that distills all
of them down to the few actual drivers that exist.

For fancier stuff you would use a wrkstn customizing object.
