The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I would so fix that file first.
First, I'm not too keen on using Query/400 to output to file and then
querying that again. I forget the buzzword (perhaps correlated queries?)
but there are ways to query a previous select. Something like "WITH T1 AS
(...)"
Query/400 is a fine tool for the end user but I never touch it anymore.
Even the most simplest stuff I start with Run SQL Scripts or maybe even
STRSQL. Too many times I've started a query and had to push the limits of
what could be done with result fields. I find that if I start with
Query/400 I limit my thinking with what the tool can do.
