Our drives, library code and firmware have been current per today's page
for months.

I did not receive a notification. Probably wasn't signed up.

I just responded to Paul's message to the list by reflexively rushing to
Fix Central because the TS3100 and BRMS wound my soul on a regular basis :)

Jack and Rob,

I've noticed a delay with all IBM notifications, especially PTFs.
A PTF will be available, maybe part of a group, which I already
downloaded.
I'll get the notification about that PTF weeks later.

I agree, it is confusing.

Paul,

I think what Jack is trying to say is why are we now getting an
announcement regarding levels of code available for months?

Jack,
Are you sure that both your library, and your drive code, are at these
levels?
Perhaps you have the library code at IBM_3573_R_E_80_3_20e.fbi but do you
have your drive code at these levels?
https://download4.boulder.ibm.com/sar/CMA/STA/07ano/0/
Qualified_Drive_Code_Information.txt
and maybe Paul has a point. Perhaps the only addition was:

* LTO GEN 8 HH Drive Code Level: LTO8_HB81 (SAS) (ULT3580)
* LTO GEN 8 HH Drive Code Level: LTO8_HB81 (FC) (ULT3580)

LTO8 was announced on 10/10/17.
I'm thinking this new microcode is for LTO8, plus other fixes.

I'm confused, Paul ... this seems to be new, yet the revision numbers are
identical to levels I installed months ago.
