Curious, why the big restriction that the password be different between
the two machines? I really do not see that as a big security enhancer.
We actually do the opposite. We enforce sameness. You change your
password in Windows and we automatically change your password on every
lpar of IBM i you have access on to be a match.

For each remote that you want to use, create a directory under

mkdir '/QFileSvr.400/remote_as

Works for me in 1.1.7.2.
- Created new dir foo
- Right-clicked on dir rpg
- Copy
- Clicked into foo
- Paste
Preparing to paste
Saving selected objects
Successfully pasted 1 of 1 objects
Folder foo/rpg contains all the contained files.
You may have a permission problem.

Hi everyone
I have just downloaded the new IBM I Access Client Solutions (32 bit)
Version 1.1.7.2 Buildid 6422 I am trying to copy an ifs directory
from one system to another - using drag and drop But its failing -
without really telling me why I highlight the directory in one
session - right click andpress Copy Then I drag the highlighted
directory over to the other session of the other system and the
following is displayed Preparing to paste Saving selected objects No
objects saved or restored An error occurred. See previous detailed
messages for more information.
Cleanup processing to follow
Failed to paste objects
Can anyone point me to somewhere on the web to show what I need to do
Where do I "See previous detailed messages for more information"?
As always - any and all responses gratefully accepted Alan Shore
