The information would be pulled from the data base that pertains to the
PDFs for the annotations and bookmarks.
Yes, there is data linked to each image.
So it sounds like programs could be written that generate PDFs that contain
indexes and annotations that point to images in the PDF. I'm adding this
type of output to my bucket list to play with.
I have a utility that transforms HTML to PDFs that might be able to do this
by using anchor tags that point to .tiff images. But I haven't tested that
hypothesis.
