I'm reading the instructions from IBMSystemsMag Oct 2011 on setting up ssl
for jdbc.
(have already posted to java list but no reply yet

Need to verify this instruction in article looks right :

Step to
ADDRDBDIRE RDB(SERVER_SYSTEM_NAME) PORT(448)
RMTLOCNAME(server_system_name *IP) SECCNN(*SSL)

I assume I can have multiple entries - the current entry is not secure (we
have many Win clients that need to connect.
where the command says "SERVER_SYSTEM_NAME" it looks like it can be any
name, not just the real server name, plus the RMTLOCNAME could be *LOCAL,
like the existing non-ssl entry.

If this is current entry

Relational database . . . . . . : MYSYS
Remote location:
Remote location . . . . . . . : *LOCAL
Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : *IP
Port number or service name . : *DRDA
Remote authentication method:
Preferred method . . . . . . : *USRENCPWD
Allow lower authentication . : *ALWLOWER
Secure connection . . . . . . : *NONE
Encryption algorithm . . . . . : *DES
Text . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :
Relational database type . . . . : *LOCAL

could add ?

Relational database . . . . . . : MYSYS_SSL
Remote location:
Remote location . . . . . . . : *LOCAL
Type . . . . . . . . . . . . : *IP
Port number or service name . : 448
Remote authentication method:
Preferred method . . . . . . : *USRENCPWD
Allow lower authentication . : *ALWLOWER
Secure connection . . . . . . : *SSL
Encryption algorithm . . . . . : *DES
Text . . . . . . . . . . . . . . :
Relational database type . . . . : *LOCAL
