Support for temporal tables with versioning relationships:
Temporal tables that have a versioning relationship defined with a
history table allow you to
maintain current data as well as historical data for a table. On systems
running IBM i 7.3, MIMIX
now supports replication of system-period temporal tables and their
associated history tables.
MIMIX also supports auditing of data within each table, but does not
audit the versioned
relationship between tables.
Action required:
After this service pack is installed, if you want to replicate temporal
tables for
which versioned relationships exist, you must have the administrator for
the QIBM_DB_SECADM
function allow usage for the MIMIXOWN user profile on each system in the
MIMIX instance. This
access is required to ensure that MIMIX will properly replicate the
temporal tables and their
associated history tables.
For more information about granting authorization and limitations, such
as both tables must be
configured for the same apply session of the data group, see topic
“Replicating versioned
system-period temporal tables” in the MIMIX Administrator Reference book.
