BASH will keep command history for that session.
I seem to remember that if you set up the .profile in your home directory
you might be able to capture it there, but it's been awhile since I've
played with it.

PuTTY doesn't. Git Bash (Windows) and Bash (Linux) both keep a command
history normally, but not when doing SSH.
I don't currently have 5733OPS 7 installed. Does it keep a command history?

Depends on the shell you're using, not necessarily the client. I don't
believe the default bsh saves history. Switch to a different shell...bash is
fun if you've got OPS option 7 loaded.
