Three? Where do you get that number?

The answer is no, you get a lot of files from IBM because many of the various LPPs are on their own 'disk'.

Optionally you can create your own install media with GO LICPGM Option 40 from an existing i 7.3 LPAR. Then you can make media as large as you want and could certainly create only three.
