especially for
// Beginning of Month Date to Date Field
Then compare your date to the beginning of the month
If its less than the beginning of the month - then that date is to be considered - =otherwise - do not consider it

I have a date field "payment date" that I need to compare to current date, but only comparing the year & month.
Any payments received in the current month should be disregarded,
