Why the requirement that it run on an alternative OS?
There's plenty of options to generate SQL on IBM i such as some of the
newer SQL or RPG codes.
You can always take that XML and store it elsewhere, if you just have to.

Subject: XML Generator
Sent by: "MIDRANGE-L" <midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx>
Hey folks -
Anyone know of a good XML generator that runs under Linux/AIX/Windows? We
have a need to generate XML for a trading partner. My thought is to create
a file with the data, then feed it into a rule-based process on a server
that would generate the XML.
The process needs to run under something other than IBMi. It could run on
the Power 8 hardware under Linux or AIX though. And it could run under
Windows too.
Any suggestions? Thanks!
