The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
SQL Server comes with a full fledge ETL tool you can use to import that excel data into your IBM i.
It's called SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services).
That right click menu you are seeing in SQL Management Studio for importing and exporting data to any platform uses SSIS under the covers.
IBM sells a full fledged ETL tool called DataStage. You might want to check price on it though, I seen a 2 CPU pack was $74k but that was from an old price list. For that price you could buy about 72 CPU Core licenses of SQL Standard Edition (which includes SSIS as part of the product).

Subject: Excel import
In SQL Server studio, they have one very nice feature which I would like to know if we have on the i.
One can import an excel sheet onto the sql server, it will create a table and the column names will be the excel names of if blanks they do F1, F2.
etc.
would we have this on the IFS?
