I would use the heck out of LISTAGG(), but we still have a few months to go
before we upgrade to v7r3 (from v7r1).

Archiving is one place it _might_ make sense to use SELECT *.

I say might because it depends, it might be good to automatically pick up a
new column. But only if the destination can automatically handle it.


There is a process in place where we send notifications to the developer
team on the target non-i system. Our developers add new fields to our
production tables, make changes to the production applications as
necessary, their developers make their changes. The archival application
is designed to be hands-off as much as possible.
