This "may" perform better "if" you run it on production and pass the
results to the target.
But if you run it on the target then you will still be downloading all
rows to do the sorting and selection on the target,
much like CPYF with record selection does on that target DDM file which
points back to the source.
Unless it uses some sort of "openquery" technique to pass the selection
process up to the source.

If it would work this way, you could call me a fool.
The tool is smart enough to use SQL and doesn't need outdated openquery technics and it will only transfer the records, you want to have. And it's up to you, wether you want to poll, or to push.
