Sounds like whoever created the journal set it up; to not create a new
receiver automatically. You might want to consider changing it so that it
will just automatically create a new journal receiver.

Thanks for the quick reply. The situation is now resolved, thankfully without anybody getting hurt, and it fixed another, seemingly unrelated problem (the only thing in common was the application, and the involvement of the IFS) that had appeared at the same time.
