Sorry folks, I should have said….the field it can’t find is the first parameter, the numeric one where I pass it the 123456 value.
Just to make sure it is not the call statement, try the following and check whether you still get the same error:
1. Add a blank after the first parameter (or all parameters).
The comma might be interpreted as decimal separator, at least if you use the European notation.
You may get some trouble with numeric values, because 7,2 is not interpreted as 2 parameters but as a single one)
2. Try to explicitly cast the number into the expected data type --> CAST(123456 as Numeric(6))
Digits without decimal separator are (often) interpreted as Integer.
Even though overloading of stored procedures only depends on the number of parameters (and not the data types - this is only valid for User Defined Functions)
