The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
No cache battery to have go "woopsie". That said before we swap the
cards, I always check to see if the card can be safely swapped. CEs look at
me funny when I check it but then admit it's not a bad idea to check.

We have two ASP's. One of higher speed spinning disks, one of slower
speed, but huge, spinning disks.
The disk is looking like this:
WRKDSKSTS
--Protection--
Unit ASP Type Status
1 1 DPY ACTIVE
2 1 DPY ACTIVE
3 1 DPY ACTIVE
4 1 DPY ACTIVE
...
23 2 DPY REBUILD
24 2 DPY REBUILD
25 2 DPY REBUILD
26 2 DPY REBUILD
27 2 DPY REBUILD
Nothing of note in WRKPRB, SST-SAL, etc
08:31:45 - Unattended IPL in progress.
It's now 10:11
What does IBM support have to say? My CE thinks it'll be a normal power
down/up cycle. No mention of extended REBUILD time. This isn't a cache
battery whoopsie is it?
