First thing I checked was the HMC to firmware levels and you're good
there.
https://www-945.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/main/transform?xml=https://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/server/firmware/sfw_fixSupportedCombos.xml&title=HMC+/+Firmware+Supported+Combinations

The 6.1 Knowledge Center mentions a minimum firmware level. I do not
recall ever seeing reference to a maximum firmware level when it comes to
OS.

The Fix Level Recommendation Tool FLRT is recommending that you upgrade
from your 01AL720(113) to AL730_152
https://www-304.ibm.com/support/customercare/flrt/

Another FLRT graphic you may want to look at:
https://www-304.ibm.com/support/customercare/flrt/matrix?domain=mtm=8202-E4B&pkey=pwr

And even Fix Central says AL730_152 for your model.

Note: See this section from AL730_152:
1.0 Systems Affected
This package provides firmware for Power 710 (8231-E2B), Power 730
(8231-E2B), Power 720 (8202-E4B), Power 740 (8205-E6B, 8492-DW2 and
8493-SV2), Power 750 (8233-E8B) and Power 755 (8236-E8C) servers only.

The other firmware levels you were looking at did not list the 8202-E4B in
their cover letter.

The 7.1 Knowledge Center has a prerequisite check which only sends you to
some picture of some stupid <expletive deleted> in a chair who looks like
he's leaning off to one side to pop one out. At that site key in IBM
prerequisite in the search bar and you'll get to the right site.
Then again, once you've arrived if you can figure out how to use that
prerequisite site to find out what level of firmware you need you're
pretty darn clever.
