Do not look at the source ports for outbound connections, rather the destination ports. Most firewalls, at least the ones I have worked with, restrict outbound ports but allow connected replies back in. So what are you attempting to RPC too? There are many RPC ports for various applications.
Are you attempting to connect for message queuing? Google "RPC Ports"

We need to open the range of ports for RPC on the firewalls.
For PCI compliancy reasons, can this range be limited/reduced?
From various NETSTAT, we see ports 23,700 thru 60599 being used.
