We are taught to normalize our data base. OK. Got it. Then along
comes JSON. How do JSON and XML fit into the normalize concept?

I can easily see first and second normal forms able to be applied
to both JSON and XML. Third normal form could only be applied if you were
managing separate JSON or XML objects in relation to each other.
