Dana,

I've used that but I think there is an
IBM web site that will allow you
to see what they see at IBM.
Supposedly you can see on their
website what heartbeats have been
expected and missed by your systems.
I've actually started exploring the
site and found several references to
it. It's under some "my system" tab
and it's all about ESA (Electronic Service Agent).
Like I said, I tripped over it and now I'm intrigued.

Bill

Subject: Phone Home-HeartBeat

Couple of days ago my development box screamed about cache batteries. I
waited for the inevitable phone call to set up the time/day to swap out.
That didn't happen so after calling IBM to figure out why ECS wasn't
working, and after walking through the steps to delete and recreate the
service configuration, and after they IBM guy kept asking, "are you sure
your machine can get out?", I surmised that our network might have a
problem and I went looking for our network guy.
Yes he had made a few changes a few weeks before but he wasn't convinced
that was the problem. So, I had been on IBM's site and I stepped on some
option that seemed to tell me that I could look at our history of when the
machine last called home. For the life of me I can't find it now. Does
anybody know if this does exist and where I can find it?

Bill
