What do you want to achieve by copying the save file to IFS?
If you want to grab it by FTP, just do

cd /qsys.lib/mylib.lib
bin
get mysavf.savf mysavf.savf

So I now have my savf and I now have to get it to root in the IFS,
something else I've never done.

There already is a directory with the same name as my savf.

Tried a CPYTOSTMF but it that didn't take, probably something I missed or
entered wrong.

The things you get to do when the old guard isn't around and its required
yesterday. :o
