RUNRMTCMD and cwbxrd were simply IBM's take on the standard rexec
client/server.

Probably your best solution would be to switch to SSH...

It's designed to replace rsh & rexec.

Howdy. We currently make heavy use of integrated servers and the

Since integrated server support is removed in power 8 we're left looking
for alternatives.

We're currently in the process of migrating our integrated Windows servers
to standalone Windows server but haven't decided on a method to retain
similar functionality for SBMNWSCMD. How have you adapted for this change?
What are some potential solutions?

Two ways I'm aware of are:

1. Use RUNRMTCMD, but that requires iSeries access cwbxrd component and
I'm not sure if that will run on Windows Server 2016 yet.
2. Redesign each application to use QNTC and native means to mimic what
our apps are doing.

I'm just not sure if these are our only options. Obviously I'd like to
steer clear of redesigning our programs should RUNRMTCMD not pan out. So
I'm hoping there are additional solutions I'm unaware of.

Much appreciation,
Dan L.
