I'm just curious how others store raw JSON (if you do that at all).
We do receive JSON documents from partners via our REST webservices, and do
parse them to the database with Scott's magnificent YAJL port. That all
works fine.
But for logging purposes we also like to store the raw original JSON data
that we receive.
I have reviewed the IBM article (and subarticles) at
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/ibmi/library/i-json-store-technology/index.html
which makes use of the db2nosql processor. The article there is presented
as "IBM DB2 for i: JSON Store Technology Preview" so I'm not sure what its
status is for production.
Do others use this apporach and know of pros and cons?
Personally I feel a preference for using a CLOB CCSID 1208 column to store
the data. It just seems easier....
What do you think?
