This had nothing to do with DNS. All with routing. But knowing how to flush the DNS cache is a good thing.

What Paul gave me worked like a charm. See Below:

For "learned routes" I've use the procedure below.

NETSTAT
2. Display IPv4 route information
Find route in question (This showed the old route for a couple of the remote servers.)

CHGTCPA
Change to 90
IP reassembly time-out . . . . . 90 5-120, *SAME, *DFT

Wait 2 minutes
F5=Refresh
Route in question should be gone. (By the time I did the NETSTAT command and took option 2 - the old route was gone.)

CHGTCPA
Change back to 120

Subject: How to clear old routes

A quick Google Search returned this. Do you think this is relevant in your situation?

Question

The System i machine is resolving an old IP address after DNS changes have been made.
Answer

i5/OS(r) caches the DNS information for a certain period of time (using the period recommended by the DNS server). This can be for approximately 24 hours.

To clear the resolver cache on the System i, run the CHGTCPDMN command, and press the Enter key.

No changes will actually be made and you should now be able to resolve the new IP address.
