Typically, installing a new Java JRE won't change the default.

Hello All,
I'm planning to upgrade to Java 7 by installing the license program 5761JV1. My concern is that when I do this it may affect other applications/programs. I don't know the answer myself so I'm reaching out to this list as there is more than likely someone who can reassure me and give me a concrete answer.
When I issue WRKENVVAR LEVEL(*sys) there is no CLASSPATH variable so my thought is that any java jobs that run must set the CLASSPATH in the job. My thought is that since there is no environment variable set at the system level there is no default being set. And so, if there are java jobs being run they wouldn't be affected by the upgrade unless the setting of the CLASSPATH was manually changed for the job.
Once again, the concern is that by installing/upgrading to Java 7 on the IBM i this may affect currently installed applications/programs without manually changing them.
