RE: Storing source as DDL instead of DDS

There was one time, very early on, where I did have a test file in a test
library that laid dormant for a long, long time. Long enough that the
backup tapes had rotated out. That long. It was corrupted to the point
of generating the DDL was blocked.

But you have to balance that against "do you trust the DDL source?". What
if someone added a column, column heading, constraint, etc and didn't
update the DDL in the source file? Is the best answer "I would throw
myself on the floor, scream, shake my fists, fill my diaper and then throw
such waste at the offender"? Having done that, does it resolve the
problem?
