RE: New lower cost IBM i announced

While I completely disagreed with the outlandish prices IBM charged for the interactive "oomph", I could never understand that people would buy the GoFaster (or other) products to cheat the system.

Just seemed so unethical to me. And, talk about biting the hand that feeds you...

That was the claim, and led to IBM sending the FBI to arrest the owner of
the software company. That led to a huge lawsuit for false arrest, and IBM
had to pay big bucks to acquire the software and lock it in a basement.

Effectively it changed the accumulated 'interactive usage' to 0 so IBM
couldn't track it. Thus it broke your agreement with IBM and effectively
stole revenue from IBM.
