FYI, the IP address for a 5250 job is not absolutely reliable. Some functions (e.g. QNTC) change the IP address of a 5250 job. This means that journals will show an IP address other than the actual client. This is operating as designed per IBM support.

Just a caveat...

Yes, "IF" you have journalling on and they updated a file. The IP address of the job which updated the data will be in the receiver.
