Interesting find

PC obtained a new lease shortly before the CPF5140 was posted.
I'm not a network person, but could there have been an issue with leases expiring and being renewed?

You should check with your network people to find out if there was any
kind of change to DHCP.

Well in advance of the lease expiration, the DHCP client on the PC
will attempt to contact the DHCP server that issued the current lease
and renew it with the same IP address. If this renewal is successful,
everything is fine.

If things have changed, the renewal with the same IP address may not
be possible.

If a different IP address is issued, this WILL break all existing
connections to all LPARs.

When connections are re-established, they will be with the new client
IP address and so it is just a one-time issue.
