I got a private reply asking why I need a Field Exit.

The only input device the client has is a barcode reader. They have to shoot 3 barcodes into the 5250 app. One of the barcodes can vary in length, so the screen field will frequently have unused spaces. I tried a TAB, but that didn't work. The automatic record advance was processed before the TAB, so it left the cursor in the wrong field.
