I can attest to the fact that newer hardware did not fix our (savsecdta)
authority issue, but auth lists did - and we have tens of millions of ifs
objects. It was not that complex to redo the authority. It actually made it
a much cleaner environment.

Also can say (because of several QDLS posts over the years) we are still
grinding away with it - but no cpytopcd, no mapped drives, no Microsoft
products expecting only MS services (and that is the real problem isn't
it..)and other than the 349,000 objects per ASP limit, no issues.
We have an industry app that has it baked into their code, both the Win
client and i stuff - yes we could upgrade and are in the middle of such, but
its big enough to be a mult-year process, so we are happy that IBM keeps it
going.

secondary groups and using authorization lists instead would.
