None of those "managers" have ever signed on to a Rochester based machine.
They still call it the AS/400.
Their fear was that the system wouldn't be up and running by 5 AM Eastern
time so that Betty Bumpers in Greene County Arkansas could log on to a web
site and see her account balance and pay her bill.
I've given up beating my head against the wall. As long as their checks
don't bounce, and I can work from home, I'm good.

Your managers actually had a good point about the SAVSECDTA. We had one
change from well under 10 minutes to hours when people started using
secondary groups. IBM could point it to that exact cause by using
PRTPVTAUT. We stopped using secondary groups and that entire portion of
our backup is well under 5 minutes now.
I much prefer authorization lists over secondary groups.
