Part of this sounds like you're agreeing with IBM that nslookup should be
part of the DNS option.

Part of this I took as a suggestion to try drill instead. That doesn't
exist. Even on the lpars where nslookup does exist.

Still fighting loading downloaded nonIBM bind distros though. Perhaps
it's that T-Rex blood in me...
Probably those distro's are more current than IBM's bind. Heck, there's
no probably to it... Although things like dropping nslookup for
alternative commands is a bit unsettling.
