Rob,
My DSPJOBTBL has 27 table entries, some maxing out at 16,352.
In-use varies from 16,352 to a lower amount.
I have 110,000 jobs available, but only 63,000 job structures available.
So what is the difference between a job and a job structure?
Paul

Actually you are showing "job structure" counts and not "job" counts.

Pretty darned close. 2101 vs 2102.

At V7R1 - the maximum number of jobs is 485,000.
I know this has been increased to 970,000 for V7R2 and above. (another
reason to upgrade)
However, until I upgrade, I have an issue with the job tables - System
job tables nearing capacity. Cause . . . . . : The system job tables are
90 percent full. This is a potentially serious system condition
I know deleing unneeded spoolfiles will resolve this issue, immediately.
I have some confusion with what wrksyssts and dspjobtbl is returning.
WRSYSSTS shows I have 375,281 jobs in the system, so I should have 110,000
jobs available.
DSPJOBTBL shows I have 438,531 total, and 63,211 available.
Why the difference with jobs in system between the two commands?
