I think .NET Core runtime was the actual point, not VS or Mac.
I agree that he should definitely create an RFE.

FYI, Visual Studio for Mac is not the same as Visual Studio for Windows.
It's essentially a rebranded version of Xamarin Studio, which was already
available on Mac.
