So the assumption is that hardware that won't run 7.2 is coercing IBM to continue supporting 7.1?
Some shops choose not to upgrade. Our 720 would run 7.3, but we'll be on 7.1 until IBM drops support.

I don't have the list handy, but IBM has a document showing all the models that can't be upgraded to 7.2 and beyond.
