Rob, if the objective is to get data onto your newly added
virtual disk, why not simply use *BALANCE?

If the hosting LPAR begins to show signs a physical disk has a
hot spot, then you can use TRCASPBAL followed by STRASPBAL
*USAGE to even things out.
