It was still in DSPS36, it just had a different value under the "S/36 Printer ID" column. It's twin printer had P3 in both columns.

I don't know of any changes. The printers were installed about 18 months ago, with no major changes.

With regard to how it "disappeared" or "changed", I think I remember that if the device is changed to say a different model or it moved to a different line (read: hard wired controller port) it can mess with the S36 assignment. There's also a limit to the number of 2 character representations to devices so if you run over that number then you can cause assignment problems. If I'm not remembering correctly, I apologize but it has been a long time since we've had S36 issues like that.
