Some cleanup.

There are still 433 QMF... and QSI... Save Files in QGPL.

I did a dump of all PTF's on the system and compared them to the Savf's.

Most are Permanently Applied or Superseded.

There are 62 that only exist as a SavF. (No corresponding PTF on the system)
There are 92 that have a PTF status of Save file only.

Being I did an APYPTF LICPGM(*ALL) APY(*PERM) DELAYED(*YES) and did an IPL yesterday, is it safe to just delete all these PTF SavF?

There are NO PTF's Temporarily applied.

There was some old code from freeware that I replaced with DBU.

Had to do a couple vendor updates to make 7.1 compliant.

I had a handful of internal pgm's that I rewrote anyway because of design. Other than those it looks good.

How hard was it for you to pass ANZOBJCVN?

I also recommend the IPL, but why is only mildly related.
Prior to upgrading (assuming you are not running Domino on this machine) I would do an APYPTF LICPGM(*ALL) APY(*PERM) DELAYED(*YES) This will set all your IBM i V5R4 PTF's to be permanently applied prior to upgrading to 7.1.
This cleans up some old ptf backup save files.

See:
Permanently apply program temporary fixes (PTFs) that are temporarily applied on your system if you have not already done so.

"Cleaning up disk storage space"

It's in the upgrade section.

Option 8 won't do well if they are in *SAVFs.

I would do LODPTF for the two and select *SAVF. It will take two LODPTFs
one for each of them but you can then do APYPTF for both together.

Weather they are *IMMED or *Delayed is up to the specific PTF but I
would normally want an IPL in there anyway so do them both as delayed
and then IPL.

Hi All,

You have No idea how happy this makes me.

There are a couple of PTF's I need to install like SI50015 and MF56994.
They are currently in a SAVF in QGPL.

Is it GO PTF Opt 2 to apply them delayed or option 8?
