Another thread related to BRMS system saves and recovery prompted me to take a closer look BRMS recovery report.
I found several interesting items.
1) The recovery includes 000000000000048 objects which were not saved.
Review the "Objects Not Saved" column for the saved items on this report
and determine if recovery is possible with these missing objects.
I searched the report and found that the 48 items not saved are from *LINK (IFS)
But it does not tell you specifically what the 48 items are.
How or where can these items be found?
Saved Save ----- ASP ------ Save Save Not Sequence Control Volume

__ *LINK *FULL *SYSBAS 00001 10/24/16 23:23:37 239944 48 6665 SAVFULL05 001347
2) The following deleted libraries have been excluded from recovery by
using *DELETE on the Libraries to omit (OMITLIB) parameter. These are
libraries which have been saved and subsequently removed from the
system.
No additional action is necessary if these libraries are not required
for system recovery. Otherwise, change the Omit libraries (OMITLIB)
parameter so these libraries are not excluded, or use the following
command to recover these libraries after all other saved items have
been restored.
My questions are:
a) Why are these even on the BRMS recovery report, why muddy and clutter the report?
b) How does BRMS even know these libraries ever existed?
c) Is there a way to remove these old deleted libraries from the BRMS recovery report?

3) BRMS recovery report is requesting I need the below volumes.
000173 and 000241 are old LTO3 volumes from 2011.
001060 is an old LTO5 volume from 2012.
Why is BRMS recovery reporting including these old volumes?
The recovery includes objects saved on multiple media sets having the
following beginning volume identifiers:
000173 000241 001060 001307 001373
4) BRMS is recovery report is requesting I need to restore the below 4 libraries.
These are from a save dated 12/12/11, old LTO3 volumes.
Why from such an old save and not current volumes.
Recover the libraries listed below, specifying the saved-item, the
name of the standalone device or media library you are using,
and the volume identifiers and sequence numbers listed.
