The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
I know, it has already came up on this list. We have a monitor, which
checks audit journals for repetitive invalid sign-on attempts. There is a
user which had 2-3000 T-PW entries in the journal.
Most probably it is the auto connect option, mentioned before. (I bleieve
by Scott.) I have checked these entries in the journal, it is the same user
from the same remote IP address, but with increasing port numbers like this:
58,508
58,509
58,510
58,511
58,512
58,513
.
.
.
Is it normal, ie. does Client Access increase the port number in case of
unsuccessful connection?
Or is it a kind of port scanning of a hacker?
Regards,
Fred
