Dave,

I've actually been thinking about making the SPLATT command in our SPLTOOL
software free since it seems it could help a lot of folks these days
wanting to get a list of spooled files. I may just do that right now. :)
It's too cold here in S. MN right now to go for my first of two daily
walks..

I need to let things warm up.

As far as pricing, .78 cents a day (around $280 a year) I would hope for
most would be petty cash. :)

Dave - I really suggest taking Brad up on his offer. It may be the
easiest way. Brad is an expert on spool files.

Getting the PTB to purchase software can be time consuming and
frustrating. Easier for me to write it -- which I have already completed.
My new command supports a better search/selection process than what I've
found natively (or via CoolSpool -- which we already have) and currently
can return up to 60 spooled file attributes (with the ability to easily
add more). It also supports *NEXT functionality for retrieving subsequent
entries when more than one spooled file entry meets selection criteria. It
is well suited to my needs and does not require either parsing printed
output nor reading a database file. It can also be called either via the
command interface from CL or as a simple API from high-level languages.

Sincerely,

Dave Clark
