Folks:

Does anyone know if there is an API that I can send a user entered command
and get it back reformatted the way the system would as if it were
prompted (without prompting)?

I know I can use the QCMDCHK api to prompt a command without executing it
and get it back formatted ... I want to do the same thing but without
prompting it.

Even though the command string field in the QCMDCHK api is input/output,
unless the command is prompted, the command that gets checked comes back
the same way it was passed in.
